Job summary

Qualifications

  • Draft technical documentation to support purchase, repair and overhaul of CG parts and material.
  • Accurately document research required for purchase and repair of shipboard systems/equipment.
  • Accurately collect and provide information to program stakeholders and vendors in verbal and written format.
  • Review and maintain technical data including sources of supply and salient characteristics of parts and equipment.
  • Perform market research to obtain pricing information for ship repair and casualty response.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize NESSS, NE-TIMS, and FED LOG to develop required technical documentation.
  • Assist with tracking, investigating, and updating status of report items.
  • Provide technical review and response to condition found reports (CFRs) and change requests.
  • Research procurement topics such as lead time, on-hand quantities, and vendor programs.
  • Communicate with contracting and procurement divisions to justify purchase actions.
