Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking Engineers to maintain propulsion, auxiliary, and onboard systems across a fleet serving inland and coastal itineraries. You will lead daily operations, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with officers to ensure safe, on-time sailing.

The role requires endurance to live aboard, strong teamwork, and adherence to strict maritime safety procedures while delivering five-star guest service aboard our vessels.

Qualifications

  • Experience with diesel machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of shipboard machinery and auxiliary systems.
  • TWIC required and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot shipboard machinery, including propulsion, auxiliary, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct inspections and provide 24-hour response for technical issues and emergencies.
  • Support docking, logistics, and operational maintenance as needed.
  • Implement maintenance schedules to keep equipment in optimal condition.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
  • Document maintenance, repairs, liquid transfers, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with Hotel Officers and Service Crew to support guest service.
