Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Shipboard Cybersecurity Engineer to serve as a control system security analyst for Virginia, Columbia, and future submarine classes.

The role involves evaluating requirements, environments, and procedures to apply cybersecurity controls in ship construction and testing, with responsibilities including research, project and risk management, and customer design reviews.

Qualifications

• BS degree required in Systems, Computer, or Electrical Engineering.
• 0–5 years of postgraduate engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform control system security analysis and design implementation with component engineers.
• Analyze DoD/DoN IT systems; develop security control implementation plans and system certification.
• Design, operate and maintain sensitive computing systems per Naval Reactor and DCSA policies.
• Review vendor software to ensure cybersecurity requirements compliance.
• Acquire and configure shipboard infrastructure and support during shipyard testing.
