Job summary

Lindblad Expeditions is seeking an Assistant Engineer responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of all vessel systems onboard ships. The role requires capability to work independently and under pressure on a rotational schedule of approximately 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off.

The Assistant Engineer will operate and maintain propulsion, electrical generation, and support systems while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of diesel propulsion and electricity generation systems.
  • Knowledge of support systems such as fuel centrifuges and pumps preferred.
  • Computer experience with Excel and Windows applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of vessel systems.
  • Operate and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Participate in shipyard availabilities.
