Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet seeks an Expert Air Conditioning Equipment (ACE) Mechanic to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, install, modify and test shipboard refrigeration systems and components.

You will follow blueprints and sketches to plan routing and placement of equipment and lead ACE personnel in complex repairs and troubleshooting. You will mentor colleagues, demonstrate new techniques, and contribute to continuous improvement of shop processes while staying aligned with DoD requirements and safety

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• E-Verify–pre-employment verification is required.
• Screen-out element: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE.
• Must be suitable for federal employment and pass pre-appointment physical.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, install, modify and test shipboard refrigeration systems and components.
• Follow technical direction, blueprints and sketches to route and place system components.
• Mentor and instruct ACE personnel in repairs and troubleshooting.
• Pursue continuous improvement of trade processes and communicate new technologies and tools.
