Tiello partners with a primary Government and Commercial Contractor in Norfolk, VA on an experienced Ship Repair Project Manager/Superintendent role for Navy and commercial vessel repairs.

Requires 6+ years in shipyard operations, proven project delivery within budget and schedule, and ability to obtain a secret security clearance. Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $115,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have access to government facilities and be DBIDS eligible.
• Must have at least 6 years of experience in shipyard operations with a focus on government/naval ship repair projects.
• Proven track record delivering complex ship repair projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Strong technical knowledge of ship repair processes, industry regulations, and safety standards.
• Relocation assistance if not local to Norfolk, Virginia.
• Ability to pass secret security clearance, background check, and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage ship repair projects for both government and commercial clients from planning through execution to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Coordinate shipboard repair planning, logistics, and safety protocols.
• Schedule repairs with vessel owners and onboard personnel to minimize downtime.
• Oversee deployment of repair teams, equipment, and materials to vessel sites.
