Job summary

Lindblad Expeditions is seeking a Purser to manage shipboard accounting, administration and guest liaison. The role combines financial controls with guest services on a busy voyage schedule.

You will work 12 hours daily on a rolling 2-on / 1-off cycle, handling vessel funds, accounting reports, payroll updates, and coordination with Hotel, Galley, Expedition Leader and shoreside teams. Requires 2+ years bookkeeping, STCW, US passport, and excellent English; Spanish helpful.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in bookkeeping and accounting preferred.
• Shipboard employment experience, preferably as Purser.
• Excellent customer service skills; professional demeanor and tact.
• Strong time management; handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Public speaking ability.

Responsibilities

• Administers ship's vessel fund and accounting reports.
• Updates crew payroll records and tip adjustments.
• Maintains shipboard accounting program inventories and manifests.
• Coordinates communications with Hotel Manager, Expedition Leader and shoreside teams.
• Ensures compliance with ISM and Safety Management System duties.
