Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS is seeking an experienced Joiner – Skilled to fabricate, assemble, install and repair interior and structural components across the ship. You’ll work from plans and specs to bring bulkheads, deck structures, furniture bases, and outfitting items to life, ensuring quality and durability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of joiner or related craft experience in shipfitting, carpentry or sheetmetal.
• Must be able to pass the Tacker Certification test.
• Experience in shipyard environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair interior and structural components throughout the ship.
• Build bulkheads, deck structures, furniture bases, racks, and outfitting items.
• Follow plans and specifications to ensure quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
• Operate woodworking, carpentry, metal-working, and power tools for detailed joiner work.
• Support ship construction across diverse shipboard environments and shifts.
