Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a skilled Joiner to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair interior structures for naval vessels. You will work on bulkheads, deck structures, furniture bases, and outfitting items, following plans and specifications for quality and durability.

This full-time role requires precision craftsmanship and teamwork in a fast-paced shipyard. The position offers overtime and opportunities for training and long-term advancement within HII’s Ingalls

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Joiner or related craft experience in shipfitting, carpentry or sheetmetal.
  • Pass the Tacker Certification test.
  • Nice to have a High School diploma or equivalent and Master Tech Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair bulkheads, wood and metal articles, interior finishes, and cabin accessories.
  • Construct and install wood and metal deck structures, partitions, furniture bases, racks, bins, decorative ceilings, false decks, and other outfitting items.
  • Follow plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
  • Use woodworking equipment, carpentry tools, metal‑working tools, and power tools to complete detailed joiner work.
  • Support ship construction in diverse shipboard environments and be available to work any shift in a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

What You Can Earn

What You’ll Do
