Job summary

Saronic is seeking an experienced Welder to assemble and weld vessel components in support of hull fabrication. You will read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and perform welding using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P across 3G/4G positions, while inspecting welds for conformance.

On-site fabrication roles require working aloft and in confined spaces, with safety as a top priority. Competitive benefits accompany a robust on-site training program.

Qualifications

• Welding certifications in carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Experience reading weld symbols and blueprints.
• Ability to inspect welds and correct defects.
• Knowledge of materials and welding effects on metals.
• Ability to work aloft and in confined spaces.
• Experience with SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GMAW-P processes.

Responsibilities

• Weld and inspect vessel components per blueprints to support hull fabrication.
• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and sketches to understand project specifications.
• Weld using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GMAW-P processes in 3G/4G positions.
• Inspect welds for conformance and correct defects as needed.
• Work aloft on scaffolds or manlifts and in confined spaces.
