Responsibilities

• Read and interpret ship design blueprints to determine the layout and assembly of hulls, bulkheads, and other structural components.
• Measure, cut, shape, and align metal plates and frames, using welding and fabrication techniques to assemble structures.
• Collaborate with welders and pipefitters to ensure proper integration of all ship components.
• Conduct fit-up checks and adjustments to adhere to build specifications.
• Follow all shipyard safety protocols, especially when operating heavy machinery.
