Job summary

Hutco, Inc. is seeking a skilled shipfitter to lay out and fabricate metal structural parts for ship hulls. The job requires reading blueprints, knowledge of ship terminology, and the ability to burn and bevel with a hand torch, with a focus on accurate assembly and finishing.

Applicants must have at least two years as a 1st class shipfitter, be able to pass a 7018 fillet weld test, and consent to a drug test and E-Verify. Willingness to work all shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Outfitting experience
• Must know Ship terminology
• Must read blue prints to lay out and fabricate parts for ships
• Must be able to burn and bevel with hand torch

Rate of Pay: $29 to $29 per hour and $120.00 Daily Per Diem for those who qualify

Description: Lays out and fabricates metal structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, and frames, and braces them in position within hull of ship for welding.

Requirements:
