Job summary

Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking an Auditor/Examiner 3 to support the SHIP Coordinator role within the Division of Aging Services. The position involves analyzing financial data, auditing sub-contractors, and delivering final reports for management across Georgia.

Occasional overnight travel is expected to meet business needs. Responsibilities include planning audits, testing controls, preparing clear work papers, and providing technical guidance to staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or closely related field.
• Two years of professional job-related experience; or five years of professional job-related experience; or one year at Auditor/Examiner 2 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and test accounting systems.
• Review journal entries, financial statements, and records.
• Perform internal control testing and compliance procedures.
• Prepare audit reports and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Plan and execute audits, including general ledgers, inventory, and programs.
