Overview: Ship Clerks play a crucial role in the Middle Mile network, responsible for managing department duties such as planning loads, controlling load flow, and ensuring trailer utilization. They coordinate with internal and external partners, drive safety, quality, productivity, and on-time performance, and escalate issues to Operations Leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Correspond with shipping companies and track packages using their software.
2. Coordinate trailer dock assignments and cross-docks.
3. Troubleshoot shipping issues and optimize trailer utilization.
4. Maintain load performance metrics and coordinate with transportation teams on various operational issues.
5. Ensure safety measures are followed and assist in SOP compliance and associate training.
6. Participate in safety and operational excellence initiatives.
7. Support daily production goals and keep work areas organized and safe.

Basic Qualifications:

• 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for long shifts, and perform physical tasks.
• Work 40 hours/week with overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in training, teaching, or presentations.
• Willingness to work different shifts and areas.
