Overview




R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team supporting a major PEO USC program office in Washington, DC. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need an Acquisition Analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.






Responsibilities




    Provide general acquisition and program management support for a Navy Shipbuilding Program Office
  • Assist in preparation of the acquisition reporting requirements, JCIDS/DoD 5000 Products, POM/PR Products, and Acquisition Strategy Reports and make recommendations to improve accuracy and clarity.
  • Perform program monitoring and control efforts, including critical path management, forecasting upcoming and recurring Program events
  • Develop, initiate, integrate and manage acquisition actions associated with Acquisition Life Cycle and milestone management.
  • Support document/brief preparation, issues analysis, public affairs actions, preparation of reports, responses to inquiries and ad-hoc data calls, and maintenance of historical files.
  • Prepare responses to Congressional inquiries and all issues/concerns originating from the Professional Staff Members and committee members in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide detail-oriented management of records, business research analysis, and valuation strategies.
  • Conduct risk assessments to the program. Identify and execute mitigation plans to reduce risks to the program.
  • Research new technologies and processes provide advice and recommendations to Navy Acquisition manager.





Qualifications




  • Bachelor Degree; 4+ years of related experience related to DoD 5000 processes may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DoD acquisition management, contract, technical and business management.
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Secret clearance
