Job summary

OmniCable is hiring a Distribution Center Associate in Carol Stream, IL. The role focuses on operating production equipment such as a Rim Drive/re-spooler and performing standard warehouse duties, including order fulfillment and material handling.

Two shifts are available: 4:00am–12:30pm or 12:30pm–9:00pm. A competitive hourly wage and benefits package accompany this position at a busy 18+ year distribution center.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States and at least 18 years old.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math skills and accurate counting for inventory.
• Energetic, dependable, team-oriented with good communication.
• Willingness to overtime and weekends for additional pay.
• Ability to bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for long periods.
• Work in a distribution center with fluctuating temperatures.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift/order picker to pull and put away stock.
• Inspect inbound stock for quality, count, and type; process stock in system.
• Prepare orders for LTL and small parcel shipments.
• Operate wire machinery as part of order fulfillment.
• Keep DC clean and organized; follow 5S standards.
