Job description

Position Summary:

Supervises a group of hourly associates in a transportation operation. Monitors day-to-day operations for compliance to establish safety and logistics procedures.

Shift:

Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Major Responsibilities:

1. People: Communicate daily work assignments to all shift associates, interview hourly associates, provide recommendations for hire, ensure fair treatment of all associates.
2. Operations: Evaluate and recommend changes to improve customer satisfaction, manage deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude, ensure timely and damage-free storage or delivery of products, and perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
3. Finance: Ensure compliance with financial policies such as inventory accuracy, returns, damages; understand decision-making's impact on profitability; manage associates' hours to minimize overtime and meet productivity targets.
4. Safety: Understand and apply safety strategies, monitor and reinforce safety awareness, lead safety meetings.
5. Growth / Customer Experience: Maintain a positive attitude, understand customer goals, identify areas for continuous improvement.
6. Fleet/Assets: Ensure equipment is in proper working order, complete maintenance documentation, secure vehicles when not in use.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years warehouse experience required
• 2 years supervisory experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with CRT, PC, scanners, calculators; SAP knowledge required
• Knowledge of MRP and JIT preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Regular attendance is essential
• Willingness to travel, work schedule as required, complete employment applications, background checks, and drug screening

Physical Requirements:

The physical and mental demands include reading, communicating, analyzing information, and understanding instructions. May require standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs/12 kg. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
