Job description

Position Overview

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned tasks to develop management skills, learns about key business aspects like customer loyalty and CVS/pharmacy culture, and completes necessary training.

Upon successful completion, trainees may be considered for promotion to supervisory roles that support store management, drive store performance, and enhance customer service. When no manager is present, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions
  1. Management
  2. Work effectively with store management and staff.
  3. Supervise store crew through assignment, direction, and follow-up.
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff.
  1. Customer Service
  2. Assist customers with inquiries, issues, and complaints.
  3. Promote CVS's customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
  4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  5. Maintain confidentiality of customer/patient information.
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, overnights, and weekends. Overtime may be required.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Part-time, approximately 20 hours weekly. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on experience and other factors.
