Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees perform assigned work to gain experience, complete basic operations and management skills training, and learn about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

1. Management
   - Collaborate effectively with store management and staff
   - Supervise store crew activities, including assigning and following up
   - Communicate effectively with management and staff
2. Customer Service
   - Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
   - Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank)
   - Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience
   - Maintain customer confidentiality

Required Qualifications

• Deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills
• Advanced communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 24
Time Type: Part-time
Pay Range: $17.95 per hour (range may vary based on experience, location, etc.)
