The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position preparing employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing assigned tasks to gain management skills, learning about key business aspects like customer loyalty and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to supervisory positions, supporting store management in store execution, performance, and customer service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Apply deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills.
• Communicate effectively and work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise store staff, assign tasks, and ensure activities are completed.
• Assist customers, handle inquiries, complaints, and promote CVS customer service culture.
• Maintain confidentiality and promote a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, communication skills, flexibility in schedule.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

• Anticipated weekly hours: 20
• Part-time position
• Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and location
