Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees perform assigned work to gain skills, complete basic management training, and learn about key business aspects like building customer loyalty and CVS culture.

Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions, supporting store management in driving store performance and enhancing customer service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and manages opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Use deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills.
• Communicate effectively.
• Work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage store staff by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff.
• Assist customers, handle questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS customer service culture: greet, offer help, thank customers.
• Handle customer relations issues per company policy, maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.

Anticipated weekly hours: 40

Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
