Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop management skills, learns about the business, and CVS/pharmacy culture. Upon successful completion, trainees may be considered for promotion to supervisory roles that support store management and ensure smooth operations, especially when no manager is onsite.

Essential Functions

1. Management
2. Work effectively with store management and staff
3. Supervise store activities, assign tasks, and follow up
4. Communicate effectively with management and staff

2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
3. Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, help, thank)
4. Handle customer relations per company policy and maintain confidentiality

Required Qualifications

Strong deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills. Excellent communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail experience (preferred but not required)

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 20

Time Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and location
