Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to prepare for future responsibilities, completes basic training, and learns about key aspects of the business and CVS culture.

Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions, supporting store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

Required Qualifications

Strong deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 15

Time Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
