Position Overview

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role at CVS Health is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees perform assigned tasks to gain management skills, learn about key business aspects, and understand CVS/pharmacy culture. Successful completion of the program qualifies trainees for promotion to leadership roles that support store operations and customer service.

Essential Functions

1. Management
2. Work effectively with store management and staff
3. Supervise store crew through assigning and monitoring activities
4. Communicate effectively with management and staff
5. Customer Service
6. Assist customers with inquiries, issues, and complaints
7. Promote CVS customer service culture (greetings, assistance, thanks)
8. Handle customer relations per company policies and ensure positive shopping experiences
9. Maintain confidentiality of customer and patient information

Qualifications

• Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Preferred: Retail experience
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred, not required

Pay range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience and other factors
