Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned tasks to develop management skills, learns about key business aspects like building customer loyalty through exceptional service, and understands CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store performance and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions
  1. Management
  2. Work effectively with store management and staff.
  3. Supervise store crew activities, including assigning and following up on tasks.
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff.
  5. Customer Service
  6. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
  7. Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
  8. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  9. Maintain customer confidentiality.
Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail experience.
Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 40
Time type: Full-time
Pay range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and other factors.
