Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to prepare for future responsibilities, completes basic operations and management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business (e.g., building customer loyalty through exceptional service) and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the CVS Store Management team by driving store execution and performance, while building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Experience in retail

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Work Hours & Pay

Anticipated weekly hours: 20

Time type: Part-time

Pay range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
