Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop management skills, learns about key business aspects like building customer loyalty through exceptional service, and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions, supporting store management in driving performance and customer loyalty. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

1. Management
   • Collaborate effectively with store management and staff
   • Supervise activities by assigning, directing, and following up
   • Communicate effectively with management and staff
2. Customer Service
   • Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
   • Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank)
   • Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring positive shopping experiences
   • Maintain customer confidentiality

Qualifications

• Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Preferred: Retail experience.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Anticipated weekly hours: 29

Time type: Part-time

Pay range: $16.00/hour (base salary may vary based on experience, education, location, etc.)
