Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned tasks to develop management skills, learns about key business aspects (e.g., customer loyalty, exceptional service), and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisory positions, supporting store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Management: Work effectively with store management and staff, supervise activities, and communicate effectively.
• Customer Service: Assist customers, promote CVS service culture, handle customer issues per policy, and maintain confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail is preferred.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred, but not required.

Pay Range

$16.00 - $24.00 per hour. Actual salary depends on experience, education, location, and other factors.
