The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks as directed, completing basic operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees may be considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management by driving store execution, performance, and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrate deductive reasoning, analytical skills, and computer literacy.
• Exhibit advanced communication skills.
• Work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, overnight, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Management

• Work effectively with store management and staff.
• Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff.

Customer Service

• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS’s customer service culture.
• Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain customer confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in retail.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Anticipated weekly hours: 40

Employment type: Full-time

Pay Range: $17.25 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
