Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop supervisory skills, completes basic operations and management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store performance and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions
  1. Management
    • Work effectively with store management and staff.
    • Supervise store crew through assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
    • Communicate effectively with management and staff.
  2. Customer Service
    • Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
    • Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank).
    • Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
    • Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, and advanced communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail.
Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 20

Time Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
