Job description

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop management skills, learns about key business aspects like building customer loyalty through exceptional service, and understands CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of training, trainees may be considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance, ensuring smooth operations, and leading staff in the absence of a manager.

Essential Functions

1. Management
2. Work effectively with store management and staff.
3. Supervise store staff by assigning tasks, directing activities, and following up.
4. Communicate effectively with management and staff.

2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
3. Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
5. Maintain customer confidentiality.

Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Weekly Hours: 8

Time Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
