Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to prepare for supervisory responsibilities, completes basic management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent customer service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40

Time Type: Full time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
