Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks as directed to prepare for future responsibilities, completing basic operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for consideration for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store execution and performance while fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth store operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Anticipated weekly hours: 20
Time type: Part-time
Pay range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
