Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee to assume higher-level supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to gain experience, completes basic operations and management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store execution and performance while fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads staff, ensures smooth store operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions
  1. Management
  2. Work effectively with store management and staff
  3. Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff
  5. Customer Service
  6. Assist customers with questions, issues, and complaints
  7. Promote CVS's customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank)
  8. Handle customer relations in accordance with company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  9. Maintain customer confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 25

Time type: Part-time

Pay range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
