Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned tasks to develop management skills, learns about key business aspects like building customer loyalty through exceptional service, and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees may be considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  3. Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank)
  4. Handle customer relations in accordance with company policy to ensure positive shopping experiences
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 20

Time type: Part-time

Pay range: $16.25 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and other factors.
