Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to develop supervisory skills, completes basic operations and management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the staff, ensures smooth store operations, and manages opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff
  5. Customer Service
  6. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  7. Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers
  8. Handle customer relations issues according to company policy to ensure a positive shopping experience
  9. Maintain customer/patient confidentiality
Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail
Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $16.00 - $24.00 per hour. Actual salary will depend on experience, education, location, and other factors.
