What you will do
- Mentor and guide UX/UI graduates through their externship projects.
- Provide technical expertise in UX/UI tools and practices
- Manage multiple projects and students simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with other mentors and team members to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
- Evaluate projects, identify key deliverables, and develop solutions independently.
- Lead and organize project tasks, ensuring clear and concise documentation, test plans, and reports.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and paces of students.
- Demonstrate strong presentation skills during team meetings, hold effective 1:1 meetings, and prepare final presentations for stakeholders.
- Elaborate the structure of tech mock interviews and host it for students and grads of UX/UI program.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate projects, identify key deliverables, and develop solutions independently. Capable of working with clients who may lack clear requirements or documentation, utilizing creativity and strategic thinking to define and deliver project outcomes.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in UX/UI design, with a background in:
- Design Thinking and Visual Design: Demonstrated expertise in applying user-centered design principles, creating visually appealing, functional designs, and adjusting them based on user needs and feedback.
- UX Research and Usability Testing: Skilled in conducting and analyzing user interviews, usability tests, and contextual inquiries to gather insights that drive design decisions.
- Prototyping and Interaction Design: Proficient in using tools like Figma, Sketch, or InVision for wire-framing, interactive prototyping, and design iteration.
- UI Design Systems and Accessibility: Knowledge of creating scalable design systems and adhering to accessibility guidelines, ensuring usability for diverse users.
- Ability to explain complex topics in understandable terms
- Familiarity with project management and tracking such as JIRA or ClickUp
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience mentoring or teaching students or junior UX/UI designers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Pay rate ranges from $40 to $50 per hour, based on experience;
- Remote, part-time work (up to 30 hours per week can be discussed); This part-time position requires evening and weekend availability, aligned with Eastern Time;
