Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is seeking a Control Room Operator to lead and direct plant operators, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the facility. You will monitor boiler, turbine and auxiliary equipment, respond to alarms, and train others to uphold Reworld’s safety standards.

The role requires field presence during outages, 12-hour rotating shifts, and the ability to work weekends/holidays. A High School Diploma and ASME QRO provisional licensing within the first year are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance during outages and emergencies; participate in start-up/shut-down procedures.
• Maintain logs and calculations; communicate abnormal conditions to supervision.

Apply today!About the roleThe Control Room Operator leads and directs employees who, under the direction of the shift Supervisor, oversee and direct the operation of the facility. This position is responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis. Will respond to alarms by taking appropriate corrective actions and execute plant shut-down and start-up procedures and ensure that the plant meets it’s generating requirements while operating in a safe and environmentally efficient manner.Position Responsibilities:Ability to demonstrate how your actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors, including Safe and Inclusive Workplace, Delivering Results through Trust and Building Breakthrough Capabilities.Understands and trains other Operators on the operating principles of the power facility’s systems, components and steam cycles.Maintains required logs and calculations; observes these logs for indications of faulty operation; notifies supervisor of abnormal system conditions.Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain a safe and efficient operationEffectively monitor Reworld operations systems and have strong working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operationsExperienced in reading blueprints, P&ID’s, and schematic specificationsManage critical events and prioritize tasks for completion at times during emergency, providing clear directions in operational, safety and environmental tasksRespond to operational alarms, taking immediate corrective actionThis position will be required to be in the field during outages.Demonstrate solid understanding of operational best practices, including the ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that supports Reworld’s safety and operational goalsPosition Requirements & Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentSuccessful completion of ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam required within the first year of holding the positionAll Control Room Operators must have strong leadership and motivational skills, and the ability to stay alert while sitting for long periods of time.Physical Demands of the Role:Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climbAbility to lift/carry 50lbsAbility to work from heights and in confined spacesQualify to wear a full-face respiratorConsistently work in various weather conditionsShift Work:This position works on a rotating 12-hour shift including weekends and some holidays.
