Job summary

Tec Group Inc. is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Brighton, MI. The role reports to the Operations Manager and Plant Manager, with a 4pm–Midnight schedule, Monday–Friday and some Saturdays and overtime during the week.

The shift supervisor will lead manufacturing operations, schedule operators, conduct monthly performance evaluations, and ensure safe, clean work areas while meeting quality goals for molded parts.

Qualifications

• Direct supervision of shift employees with processing technician experience.
• Experience with production scheduling software ProView.
• Ability to complete monthly performance evaluations.
• Safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot molding defects and implement process changes.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of all shift employees and schedule operators to work centers using ProView Scheduling.
• Complete shift employee performance evaluations monthly.
• Maintain part files and data related to processes.
• Review production schedule controls and monitor process performance.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work areas.

Job description

Job title: Shift Supervisor Reports to Operations Manager Plant Manager 2nd Shift 4pm – Midnight M-F with some Saturdays as needed and OT during the week

Job purpose: To facilitate acceptable shift productivity and effectiveness while promoting a safe and positive working environment for all shift employees

Duties and responsibilities:

• Direct supervision of all shift employees and should have processing technician experience. Reference 24-01950 – Using the production scheduling software ProView Supervisor , be able to schedule operators to specific work centers as well as manipulate scheduled production run information and create production schedules as needed through ProView Scheduling .
• Complete shift employee performance evaluations monthly
• Part file management / tool specific data management.

• Safe operation of typical material handling equipment such as a powered lift truck and pallet jack.
• Troubleshoot molding defect causes and remedy any issue using a systematic approach to process changes.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work areas
• Understanding and implementation of company goals and objectives
