Job summary

Prosegur Security USA, Inc. is seeking a Shift Supervisor for an overnight full-time role in California. The position offers a pay rate of $28.00/hour with a Thursday through Monday schedule and a 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM shift.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, supervising security officers, preparing reports, and coordinating post orders and staffing. The candidate must have a CA Security Guard Card, at least 1 year of security leadership experience, and strong English

Qualifications

• CA Security Guard Card required.

• Capable of following complex instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• Be customer service oriented with basic to intermediate computer skills and effective written and oral communication.
• Prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Manage security services and operations including post orders, staffing, scheduling, payroll, supervision and training at an assigned site.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of security officers to ensure performance and adherence to protocols.
• Read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Utilize access control technology at client sites.
• Handle both common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Respond to emergencies, investigate disturbances, and help ensure safety.

• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
• Manage security services and related operations including preparation of post orders, staffing, scheduling, payroll, supervision and training at an assigned site.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of security officers, ensuring effective performance and adherence to protocols.
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
• Advanced computer skills to utilize innovative, access control technology at client-specific sites
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Respond to emergencies, investigate disturbances, and help ensure the safety and security of people and property.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

• Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1-2 miles per shift)
• Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
