Job summary

Prosegur in California is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the grave shift to lead a security team at a client site, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.

The role requires strong English communication, reports, and the ability to follow complex instructions, with responsibilities ranging from post order prep to staffing and training.

This full-time overnight position (Thu–Mon, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM) offers comprehensive benefits including medical, life, dental, vision, vacation, and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CA Security Guard Card required.
• Minimum 1 year security leadership experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capable of following complex instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in screening process including drug screen and background investigation.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• Be customer service oriented with basic to intermediate computer skills and strong written and verbal communication.
• Prepare written reports and logs in neat handwriting.
• Manage security services including post orders, staffing, scheduling, payroll, supervision and training at an assigned site.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of security officers and ensure adherence to protocols.
• Read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Use access control technology at client sites.
• Handle emergencies calmly and efficiently; respond to disturbances.
• Ensure safety of people and property during all operations.

Responsibilities:

Physical Requirements:

This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

• Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
• Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
