AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager in leading company initiatives, ensuring maximum productivity, training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and ensuring compliance with company procedures. Shift Supervisors exceed customer expectations by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on their shifts by Living the Pledge every day.

Position Responsibilities
  • Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel
  • Take responsibility for store operations and the commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts
  • Help manage the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure service and delivery commitments are met
  • Delegate and ensure timely completion of store merchandising tasks
  • Operate cash registers, handle deposits, petty cash, and ensure lane accountability
  • Follow all company policies and loss prevention procedures
  • Use ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or finding alternatives
  • Maintain a safe working environment, including PPE practices
  • Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security
  • Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards
  • Conduct opening and closing procedures
  • Manage emergency situations and follow emergency procedures
  • Follow accident procedures
  • Provide performance feedback to the store manager
  • Monitor and manage activities related to Risk & Safety Management
  • Address and resolve customer concerns to turn complaints into compliments
  • Process returns and manage inventory effectively
  • Communicate issues and concerns to the Store Manager confidentially and timely
  • Motivate AutoZoners to deliver WOW! Customer Service, improve productivity, and promote sales
Position Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • ASE Certification preferred
  • High level of integrity
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Ability to drive customer service
