AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager with leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity, training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and remaining compliant with company procedures in accordance with AutoZone’s expectations. Position Responsibilities
- Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel
- Assume responsibility for store operation and commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts
- Help manage the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure commercial accounts and stores are serviced, and deliveries are made as promised
- Delegate and ensure store merchandising tasks are completed timely
- Operate cash registers and follow cash handling duties, including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability
- Ensure all company policies and loss prevention procedures are followed
- Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or finding suitable alternatives
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure AutoZoners implement safety practices including PPE
- Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security control
- Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards
- Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures
- Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures
- Follow proper accident procedures
- Provide feedback on AutoZoner performance to the store manager
- Assist with monitoring and managing activities related to Risk & Safety Management to maintain safety
- Address customer concerns and resolve them with the goal of turning complaints into compliments
- Process returns and manage inventory effectively
- Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager promptly and confidentially
- Motivate AutoZoners to deliver WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity, and market products to increase sales and profits
Position Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- ASE Certified preferred
- Demonstrates high level of integrity
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to drive customer service
