Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor in New Orleans, LA. This role directs associates on a shift, ensures policy compliance, and oversees daily operations in a healthcare food service setting. Monday–Friday schedule with potential hours variation.

Experience in food service and healthcare is a plus; training is provided. Benefits are available for full-time and part-time positions.

• Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.

• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure quality, productivity and safety.
• Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• Mentor and develop employees and encourage advancement within the organization.

• Location: Ochsner Medical Center Jefferson Plaza - 2614 Jefferson Highway, New Orleans, LA 70121. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
