Job summary

SSC Services For Education in Lexington, KY (University of Kentucky location) is seeking a Shift Supervisor for a Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule. This is a full-time role with competitive pay of $17.00 to $17.50 per hour.

You will direct associates on a shift, train staff, create schedules, monitor quality, safety and productivity, and serve as the primary contact for time-off requests and performance feedback. Minimum 2 years of supervisory and housekeeping experience required.

Position

SHIFT SUPERVISOR
Location: University of Kentucky - University Station, Lexington, KY 40506 (Openings available at other locations within the school district; online applications only).

Schedule

Full time schedule; Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Full and Part Time with flexibility to meet most scheduling needs.

Pay

$17.00 per hour to $17.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure unit meets expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of supervisory and housekeeping experience.
