Job description

Join to apply for the Shift Supervisor (Full-Time) role at AutoZone.

AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager with leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity, training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and remaining compliant with company procedures in accordance with AutoZone’s expectations. Shift Supervisors exceed customer expectations by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on assigned shifts by Living the Pledge every day.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel.
  2. Assume responsibility for the store operation and commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts.
  3. Assist with management of the Commercial and Hub Departments, (as applicable), to ensure commercial accounts and stores are serviced and deliveries are made as promised.
  4. Delegate and ensure store merchandising tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  5. Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling duties, including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability.
  6. Ensure all company policies and loss prevention procedures are followed.
  7. Utilize ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives.
  8. Maintain a safe working environment while ensuring AutoZoners implement safety practices including PPE.
  9. Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security control.
  10. Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
  11. Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures.
  12. Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures.
  13. Follow proper accident procedures.
  14. Provide feedback regarding AutoZoner performance to the store manager.
  15. Assist with monitoring and managing activities related to Risk & Safety Management to maintain a safe work environment.
  16. Address customer concerns and resolve them with the goal of turning a complaint into a compliment.
  17. Process returns and effectively manage inventory.
  18. Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner.
  19. Motivate AutoZoners to provide WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity, and market products to increase sales and profits.
Position Requirements
  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. ASE Certified preferred.
  3. Demonstrates a high level of integrity.
  4. Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  5. Ability to drive customer service.
