Job description

AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager in leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity. They train high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, drive sales, control expenses and shrink, and ensure compliance with company procedures according to AutoZone’s standards. Shift Supervisors exceed customer expectations by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on their assigned shifts by Living the Pledge every day.

Position Responsibilities

1. Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel.
2. Assume responsibility for store operations and the commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts.
3. Assist with management of the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure commercial accounts and store deliveries are serviced as promised.
4. Delegate and ensure timely completion of store merchandising tasks.
5. Operate cash registers and follow cash handling duties, including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability.
6. Ensure all company policies and loss prevention procedures are followed.
7. Utilize ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives.
8. Maintain a safe working environment, including implementing PPE practices.
9. Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security controls.
10. Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
11. Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures.
12. Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures.
13. Follow proper accident procedures.
14. Provide feedback on AutoZoner performance to the store manager.
15. Assist with monitoring and managing all activities related to Risk & Safety Management to maintain a safe work environment.
16. Address customer concerns, aiming to turn complaints into compliments.
17. Process returns and effectively manage inventory.
18. Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager promptly and confidentially.
19. Motivate AutoZoners to provide WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity, and market products to boost sales and profits.

Position Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. ASE Certified preferred.
3. Demonstrates high integrity.
4. Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
5. Ability to drive customer service.
