Job summary

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily restaurant operations, support management, and ensure exceptional food quality and hospitality. You will guide the team, monitor service speed, and uphold Freddy’s standards across safety, cleanliness, and guest experience.

The role emphasizes leadership by example, coaching, and ensuring proper opening/closing procedures, while managing workflow, inventory, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to lead by example and provide clear direction to team members
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work with a sense of urgency
• Strong attention to food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Ability to remain calm and make good decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to coach team members and hold standards consistently
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• Ability to perform the physical duties required in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and provide direction and support to team members throughout the shift
• Ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service
• Maintain Freddy’s standards for food quality, preparation, portioning, presentation, and hospitality
• Assign positions and deploy team members based on business needs
• Monitor speed of service and make adjustments to keep operations running efficiently
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, temperature control, and food safety procedures are followed
• Complete required food safety and temperature logs accurately and on time
• Immediately address and communicate any food safety concerns
• Support proper opening, closing, and shift-change procedures
• Assist with cash handling, register procedures, deposits, and other assigned financial controls
• Monitor product levels and ensure proper stocking, rotation, and inventory procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant for guests and team members
• Coach team members in the moment and reinforce company policies and operating standards
• Help train and develop new and existing team members
• Communicate equipment, maintenance, staffing, food safety, and operational concerns to restaurant management
• Assist restaurant management with controlling food waste and labor during assigned shifts
• Position team members effectively to meet guest demand while maintaining labor expectations
• Handle guest concerns professionally and work to resolve issues quickly
• Help create a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace
• Perform team member duties and work restaurant stations as needed
