Job summary

The Press Club Grill in San Antonio seeks a shift supervisor to manage all restaurant functions in the General Manager's absence, ensuring fast, accurate sandwiches and world-class customer service while maintaining cleanliness and organization.

You will lead a team of 3–15, train staff, oversee ordering and inventory, supervise food prep, route deliveries, and ensure high standards of service and efficiency throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication skills required.
• Strong math abilities including addition, subtraction, fractions, and percentages.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manages a staff of 3–15 employees.
• Provides on-the-job training for all employees.
• Delegates and handles ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of supplies to minimize waste and loss.
• Assists in supervising preparation, sales and service of food.
• Forecasts food items and estimates quantities needed per shift.
• Supervises food prep and service during duty; supports in rush periods.
• Ensures world-class customer service is delivered to every guest.
• Routes deliveries and supervises drivers to optimize delivery speed.
• Completes opening procedures and daily food prep (slicing, bread production).
• Completes closing procedures and daily/weekly paperwork.
• Maintains 100% integrity of systems; audits previous shifts.
