Job summary

Starbucks Corp. in New York, NY seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead cafe operations with craft and heart, ensuring friendly service and high quality beverages. You will guide daily activities, monitor standards, and support a welcoming atmosphere for customers and partners alike.

You will train and coach partners, delegate tasks, and maintain safety and store policies while delivering an exceptional coffeehouse experience to the community.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience interacting with customers
• Six (6) months of experience delegating tasks to others
• Ability to direct the work of others and coordinate teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of retail environment and customer service expectations
• Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to provide high-quality beverages and food to standard recipes
• Delegate tasks to two or more employees and oversee daily operations
• Coach, mentor and train partners to ensure welcoming store environment
• Maintain store policies, safety, cash handling and security during shifts
• Collaborate with team to deliver consistent customer experiences
